The planned publication of the German translation of AACR2 by Saur Verlag has been moved to the beginning of next year (2001). A rough translation of the entire Rules has now been completed, and the Project team is now harmonizing the translations between chapters. This phase of the Project began in February 2000, and will continue until October 2000. The translation will be sent to Saur Verlag as camera-ready copy soon after this date.

NOTE: Existing English translations
of selected chapters, made by the Swiss IDS Working Group and by Margarete
Payer, will be used as the basis for this translation project. The Swiss
team has translated the Introduction and chapters 1, 2, 5, 6, 12;
while Margarete Payer has translated the Introduction and chapters, 1,
2, 12, 13, and Part II Introduction, with chapter 21.
